At SafeHaven Primary, our primary school grades are from grades 3 to 7. Each grade has three classes. Our pupils are streamed according to ability in Mathematics, English and Content subjects at the end of Grade 2.

We name our classes using I, M, S and S1. I stands for independent learners, M stands for pupils with mixed abilities and S for pupils who need support from both school and home. Pupils in the top stream grasp concepts quickly and generally work faster than the subsequent stream pupils; the number of pupils in the top stream is much higher than the subsequent streams. This enables the lower stream class teachers to give individual attention to pupils in their class and facilitate proper progress.
